LIZEBAR GORGE
A beautiful activity very close to Pamplona
The Lizebar Gorge is located next to its bigger brother Artazul, in the town of Aizpún. It is a gorge that is almost always dry, which makes it a very good and beautiful option to start in the world of canyoning.
Besides this, we can do it all year round since we won’t face the cold caused by water contact.
Millions of years of erosion have given us this unique long and narrow crevice, a gorge with spectacular geological shapes and colors that features a series of consecutive rappels making the activity active and dynamic, with no time for boredom or waiting.
The 55-meter rappel halfway through the gorge offers the most special and adventurous point of the route, which being a clean and vertical rappel won’t cause any difficulties to overcome this section.

Necessary equipment
- Swimsuit
- Pants and t-shirt (preferably not cotton)
- Trekking shoes or mountain boots in good condition with non-worn soles
- Dry change of clothes
- 1 liter of water per person and some snacks

- Ability to swim (in case we encounter water)
- Minimum age: 12 years
- Do not have vertigo or fear of heights
- Average physical fitness to be able to complete the previously described route
