The Basque Mountains are a group of mountain ranges and peaks located between the eastern Cantabrian Mountains and the Western Pyrenees.
Most of them are made up of sedimentary rocks; erosion and geological activity shaped this mountain range into what we know today, creating a variety of spectacular landscapes and terrains.
The mountain has always been part of our culture and tradition. In Basque mythology, some mountains hold special significance as dwellings of magical or divine beings, such as Anboto, which according to our ancestors, is the home of the goddess Mari.
At Ipar Adventure, I encourage you to choose me as your guide so I can show you these places of pure beauty, mountains that have witnessed so much history and will take us back to stories from our past.
I offer different options and most of the time can adapt and suggest a route based on the group’s conditions. If you have any questions or any different proposal than what you see here, do not hesitate to contact me and let’s talk about it to choose the best possible route!
