It all started in Italy, in beautiful Tuscany, with my adventure mentor Simone.

Once I finished my university degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, I had the opportunity to travel to Italy and work in what I loved so much, what really called to me and fulfilled me: NATURE.

Simone was the one who gave me the chance, who accompanied me and taught me firsthand what the profession of a mountain guide was like. Although most of the time we guided groups in canyoning activities, we also did hiking, trekking, mountain biking, or various activities for school groups.

Let’s take a step back in time and start from the beginning. And by the way, before I forget, my name is Javi.

A fan and player of Basque pelota since I was a child and for many years, little by little my path took another direction where leaving this sport aside a bit, I gravitated towards the mountains. Thus, I began practicing different mountain disciplines: mountain biking, hiking, climbing, canyoning, snowboarding… and what started as a mere attraction ended up becoming a very important part of my life.

After my experience in Italy, I decided to train to become a mountain guide, where I ultimately chose the Aragonese training program to start my learning journey. I have worked several seasons in the Sierra de Guara as a canyoning guide, so I can say that the prepyrénées and Pyrenees area is my second home, my “summer house”.

This has led me to gain some experience, meet many people, and discover many places throughout different areas of the Pyrenees, Italy, France, the Balearic Islands, Portugal including the island of Madeira, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Brazil, etc.

After several years working as a Physical Education and Biology teacher in secondary school and high school, and although I still do so today, I feel the need to take the leap to bring to life this idea I’ve had for a few years: my small adventure and teaching project. Because yes, my goal is to keep combining both fields in one place, guiding and teaching; guiding while teaching, but this time, in nature.

I look forward to joining you in whichever activity you prefer! See you on the mountain! 😀
